Weekly blog posts: Starting Feb. 19, you will be expected to write a weekly blog post. At times, I will assign a topic. Otherwise, your blog posts should be related to something you’ve read on one of the blogs you are following this semester, to the class readings, to media industry issues and trends, or the impact of new media on the field, etc. Each weekly blog post should be a minimum of 200 words.

Jan. 31 – Intro to Photoshop, Part I: crop & prep photo, post finished photo on blog
Feb. 5 – Photoshop, Part II: tools, palettes, layers, filters, masks, text; post finished photo on blog (Due by midnight, Feb. 6: “Late breaking” blog post, emailed 2/3)
Feb. 7 – Pictures on the Web: combine photos/text to create a header for your blog or web page; also due today: a blog post on what blogs you plan to follow this semester.
Feb. 12 – InDesign, Lab; Reading: “Cluetrain manifesto” Due: Your header (post on blog)
Feb. 14 – More InDesign Lab; Due: Post comment on “Dueling Videos” blog post on the class blog.
